Today is what my friend Karen calls a "bad two-year-old day." I was all set to blog about how difficult Moses has been today, but realized that probably wouldn't do much to help my bad mood. SO (and I guess this is where thousands of dollars towards an unused psychology degree pay off) I am going to write a POSITIVE post about my darling little son.
As we were coloring together this morning he asked me to "draw God." Well, that's a pretty tall order. I told him "I don't know what God looks like," and as he gave me his curious little stare I started realizing what a HUGE pile of questions that was bound to give rise to. While I braced myself for the possibility of having a theological discussion with a toddler, he seemed to make up his mind about something. "God's a fast runner" he said matter-of-factly, and returned to coloring. Well, yes. I imagine he would be. :)
So, we now have that to add to the list of how a toddler conceives of God:
1.) God put my head on me.
2.) God gots chickens in his back yard.
3.) God gots the sun in his hand and the moon in his truck.
4.) God's a fast runner.
Pretty funny stuff - and that cheered me right up! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Oh, my gosh- I am just laughing and laughing over here.
And the best thing about two-year-olds is how fast they can turn a bad day into a good one.
Maybe God can give me some tips in the running department! Have a wonderful Easter!
