Inspired by all the beautiful weather we've been having in California, here is a sunny little patchwork play mat. I have had all these bright fabrics lying around from previous projects and couldn't resist putting them together. It is available in my shop...
Today was such a gorgeous day! Finally there was no fog, and we spent a long afternoon outside enjoying the blue sky and the green grass. The sunshine also allowed me to take pictures of this quilt that I finally finished. Green and blue, just like the farm. I had all these skinny little strips of fabric and started sewing them together without really planning. This quilt kind of made itself, in a way. Maybe that's why it took SO long to finish. :) It is available in my shop.
I really like making bunting - such a fun way to use up some of the millions of scraps that are taking over my sewing cabinet. This garland just got listed in the shop. It is a tad shorter than the other bunting banners in my shop because on the way from the ironing board to the sewing machine, I dropped one of the triangular penants into the sink. ew. and arg. It is still super cute, though, and a few dollars cheaper, which is always a good thing! I'm picturing this hanging in a little girl's room over her bed or across her doorway - so fun! I'm hoping to make more of these in the near future - or risk being buried alive in fabric scraps!
I finished up the custom order I've been working on, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I really wanted to keep this bright one - I just love how the pure white sashing makes all the colors pop. Not very practical for a baby quilt, I know, but sometimes these things just need to be done.
I keep saying "and now I'm going to put some more things in the shop," but who knows what will pop up next. I keep almost finishing quilts and other projects, then spazzing off to start something else. Hopefully I can stay focused this week and actually get something finished. Happy Monday to you all!
I love this quilt, partly because I used Momo's "Wonderland" fabrics in it, (and they are possibly my favorite fabrics EVER) and partly because of all the vintage fabrics I was able to integrate into it as well. Modern and vintage together just look so cool. This blanket is newly listed in the shop, thanks to a little break in the clouds today. I managed to throw on my boots and run through the mud, rig up a clothes line, pin up the quilt and snap a few shots before the boys woke up from their naps or the sun went back into hiding.

I snatched a few shreds of real sunlight the other day to photograph a few mini quilts for the shop. They can be found here - this is the girly-est one of the bunch. :)
Teddy is so excited - today is his big Etsy debut! Mommy decided that he was just what she needed to show how great this new toy bag was, so she decided to include him in one of the pictures. First he had to take a bath, since Mommy is paranoid about the cleanliness of the things that touch her products. But after that, and a nice long tumble in the dryer, he was all fluffed up and ready for his photo shoot. Mommy said she is so pleased with the cuteness of this picture that she is going to make Teddy a toy bag of his own to play in!
