Ingredients:
4-6 slices of sourdough bread
Butter
1 small can of diced mild ortega chiles
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 cup grated jack cheese
6 eggs
1 box pre-cooked breakfast sausage, cut into small pieces
2 cups milk (I use nonfat)
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1.) Butter the bread, remove the crusts, and place in the bottom of a 9 x 13 casserole dish, butter side up. Spread chiles over the bread.
2.) Combine all remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
3.) In the morning, cook uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 45-55 minutes.
Pretty easy and very yummy!

Ah, finally the recipe for your famous eggs...so now i just need a farm. Hmmmm.
I thought this might be a good place to post my "famous" baked french toast. So, here goes...
1 loaf bakery french bread cut into 1 inch thick slices
1 stick butter (softened)
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbl. light corn syrup
5 eggs
2 cups milk
dash vanilla
pinch of salt
cinnamon
mix sugar, butter and syrup and spread on bottom of 9x13 baking dish
lay bread on top. I choose to cut each slice in half again to make smaller pieces, just make sure they are 1 inch thick. you can squeeze them in the pan as long as they lay flat.
mix eggs, milk, salt & vanilla and pour over bread.
sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with plastic wrap and refigerate overnight.
In the AM, bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until the top browns AND THE BREAD PUFFS UP.
Be sure not to undercook...it's gross.
when serving flip so that the yummy stuff is on TOP!
enjoy!
Sounds yummy but where's the chocolate?
And here's my favorite breakfast recipe:
Open box of cereal
Pour into bowl
Pour milk over cereal
Try to eat in 1.5 minutes before the baby starts screaming.
Yum!
