Nightmare

The other morning (and I'm using that term loosely... 4 am counts as morning, right?) I was awakened by my four year old standing silently by my bed staring at me. (Why is that one of the most terrifying ways to wake up?) Anyways, he informed me he had had a scary dream, so I scooped him into bed with me, hoping he would fall back to sleep. After lying there for a few minutes he told me "I dreamed a white bird flew into our house and stole all of our fabric." He heaved a terrified sigh and fell quickly asleep, safe with his mommy. Of course, then I was scared. Just in case, I decided to replenish my stock. Here's a picture of some of the great stuff that should be arriving here soon courtesy of Fabric Shoppe.

isn't it so funny what we (& our children) dream about sometimes? I'm glad it was nothing TOO terrifying!

My son used to do that but his dreams were never about a fabric thief. But that's quite scary anyway!

I shouldn't giggle because I'm sure that it was very traumatic for him, but wow, that is cute.

Maybe it was a very creepy white bird... then again, you do have the cutest fabric around. Losing it would be scary, indeed.

Too funny!! My question: why are we moms the ones woken up with the nightmare kid staring us in the face and not the fathers?! One of our job "perks", I supposse...

That is hilarious. Mose is really tugging Mama's heartstrings with that one! Keefe was describing a nightmare today, but in wonderful-mom-sympathetic-fashion, I am too tired to remember what he was even talking about. :)

How precious!! Perhaps unconsciously he is concerned about all your fabric! Hm...a bird?...hm...how could a bird take all the fabric? Must have been a very very very large bird!!! that would be scary!
